I read Ancient History, Archaeology, and Biblical Theology at Trinity College Dublin, where I was awarded a fully funded PhD (one I never completed). My saltmarks saw me take another route, as I headed to Rome to become a full-time licensed Tour Guide at the Vatican Museums.
I was a founding member of The Rogue Historians, a tour company that operated in Rome and Lisbon until the pandemic forced us to close, and I concentrated on my by then growing family.
After a brief sabbatical, I was keen to return to the workplace, where I used my knowledge of the history, cuisine, and culture of Italy and Portugal to launch a successful content consultancy.
